Jay-Z x Barney is the perfect collaboration to celebrate "the spirit of the city," a holiday event honoring New York. Shawn Carter is the epitome of a New Yorker, born and raised in the Marcy Houses (projects) in Brooklyn, turned rapper, icon and mogul.
Carter's collaboration will include unique pieces with top high-end designers: Balenciaga, Balmain, Lanvin, Proenza Schouler, The Elder Statesman, En Noir, Hoorsenbuhs, Just Don, Rick Owens, Stutterheim and Cutlyer & Gross. The color palette is non other than black, white, gold and silver. Exactly what I expected from Jay-Z. New Yorkers love a neutral yet elegant palette.
